I found it very interesting the collection of homes and outbuildings. It's a shame you can only enter a few of them to view. I understand trying to preserve. That being said some of them were so destroyed by termites it was terrible. Overall very...More

We went for the Christmas lights. They set them up so you can drive your car through. They ask for donations at the end. Well worth it.

It was an interesting collection of buildings. It is nice that they trust people with a self guided tour. The maintenance seems to be lacking, which makes me worry about the long term prospects of this place. Granted there are log cabins that are over...More

This place is right off the highway. It's easy to find. Lots of homes from the pioneer days. There is also a lake in the park. If you are here during Christmas, they have the Christmas lights tour you can drive through!!!

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable; he alone was well worth the price of admission (which was very reasonable). We learned so much about this area of Texas from him. We highly recommend spending an hour or so there to see how people of various...More

This old frontier village has been moved to this area and all you do is look at the buildings and inside some of the windows. The site is a park and there is a large lake close by plus the fair grounds just beyond the...More
