While visiting near Denison, Texas we were aware of this park but decided to pass. On our last day there we decided to give it a try. Boy oh boy, were we ever glad we did! This is truly a "hidden gem" and is not...More

Really nice staff. Went on a very quiet day, so no activities but the self-guided tour. Brought back a lot of childhood memories, seeing the simpleness and familiarity of the homes and their furnishings, but very creative and efficient designs. The only disappointment was not...More

That was interesting. Re-enactment, guns, cannons, and history. Some of the furniture is still so beautiful.

I found it very interesting the collection of homes and outbuildings. It's a shame you can only enter a few of them to view. I understand trying to preserve. That being said some of them were so destroyed by termites it was terrible. Overall very...More

We went for the Christmas lights. They set them up so you can drive your car through. They ask for donations at the end. Well worth it.

It was an interesting collection of buildings. It is nice that they trust people with a self guided tour. The maintenance seems to be lacking, which makes me worry about the long term prospects of this place. Granted there are log cabins that are over...More
