At Christmas, this place is decorated. Also they have Santa that comes to visit and all the children really enjoy.

Eastland is known for Old Rip, a horned toad who was put into the corner stone of the courthouse and emerged alive 31 years later There is a large horned toad here in this park which is known also as Grimes Gardens. It's a nice place to stop and has geocaching nearby.

Nicely set up small park just off the square. The sculpture of Old Rip is good, there are places to sit along with a history of Old Rip and other interesting reading bits. It is very small but pleasant.

I'd recommend visiting Old Rip in the cooler months. There's not much to it and I plan to visit other interesting places there soon

Not much to see or do but the sculpture and story of Old Rip is an interesting one and certainly unique!
