Although on a busy intersection, great to stop and take photo. Go across street and stop at visitor center for a free pin.

Be careful, this statute is located between 3 merging roads but worth a brief stop since it is one of the main tourist icons

It's a statue of a road runner. What else is there to say? The town has very friendly people and a road runner statue. That's pretty much it.

Was late when we arrived in Fort Stockton. We did ride the area and see the Road Runner. Was a photo opportunity.

Paisano Pete is located in the heart of Fort Stockton and almost impossible to miss if you are going anywhere near the town center. It is a large sculpture of a roadrunner and is the town mascot. Roll down your window and snap a shot...More

Not a lot to say, it’s big and kinda ugly. Not sure why it is here but if this is what Ft. Stockton wants to be known for, so be it.

It is a big statue of the roadrunner. Needs the coyote chasing behind. Didn’t seem to be much here and it is rather unique. However, not necessary to go out of your way.

In 2007 Piasono Pete was repainted by an offender @ Lynaugh Prison. My husband was then the craft shop supervisor. It is good to see the offender’s work when we go through or return to visit.
