We took the opportunity to introduce our MN. grandson and bride to the Stockyards on a quite Monday morning. The cattle drive is one of the highlights along with the Stockyard Station with shops and restaurants. Great place to take visitors.

The food and shops were excellent and then we encountered a woman who owned a horse along the street offering rides. My family was walking by and my 6 year old who loves animals, simply wanted to pet the horse for a brief second was cut off rudely by this control freak by telling him "do not touch my horse".... Would recommend while visiting the stockyards a stop by the stables. My children enjoyed visiting the animals in the stables and also took a horseback ride here. They offered arena rides for $20 which we did since it was their first time. A good stop that is free unless you ride a horse.

And I don't mean the Dallas Cowboys. Get your western wear or visit the cowboy hall of fame. Get yer fix at the stockyards. You can see a cattle drive, a gun fight, visit the stables or eat BBQ. It's got all the things that make Texas such a unique place to live, visit and enjoy.

Went here with my husband and my parents while on vacation traveling across country. This was a very busy place with lots to see!! Almost too much. So many shops and restaurants. Buzzing and people everywhere. Watching the cattle go down the street was fun and you can sit on one and get a photo for $5. Great pic for... More

While all the brochures touted this as a great place to go to, I was unimpressd. There were an abundance of restuarants, and a lot of overpriced "trinket" stores. The "cattle drive" consisted of a dozen long-horns paraded down the street. Going in August was crazy. Lost weight doing nothing as 109 degree weather prevailed.

RV slots back up to a roping arena, walking distance to everything in the Fort Worth Stockyards. You can even stall your horses in the barn just across the arena from your trailer. They even muck the stalls for you. Great place to stay! Definitely a Ft. Worth gem.

There is a lot of shops to see and good places to eat. Kids can go through the maze or ride the mechanical bull or do the petting zoo. We liked seeing the longhorns go down the street too. It is free to see the longhorns.

If you want to see what Texas is all about (cowboys, rodeos and bbqed food) then the Fort Worth Stockyards is the place to come. The stockyards is a fun little town that looks like your in an old western movie. There's a lot of restaurants and shopping as will. At the stockyards you can see real cowboys and long... More

This place is cool!! Smells like your in a pasture with your livestock but has some really nice places to eat and shop and comfy hotels. The train ride is relaxing and has some pretty scenery as you ride along the rails. Gotta go back!!!
