I haven't been out there for awhile. With Covid like the other state parks you must make a reservation prior to coming. It appears the morning sessions are more in demand. The sign stated it was sold out for the day. It was very busy in the morning. By 1pm it wasn't as crowded. Very small area to view via car compared to other state parks. We are on a mission to show my 85 year old father all the state parks. The interpretive trail was a bit more challenging than other parks. Way simple for most but it does have a bit up and down and narrow parts. This has been the only state park we have been to in the last six months that actually closed their bathrooms and put up port a potties. Additionally, they have a snack trailer something we haven't seen in other parks. This park has limited places for dogs to be on the trails. Dogs are allowed on the big loop trail but that is about it. They are not allowed on the interpretive trail. A lot of picnic tables on one side of the park. The other side of the park has camping areas. We enjoyed our time at the park but it had a few too many people for our COVID taste even during the week. Glad we got to show it to my dad.

Enchanted Rock is always a fun day. We hiked all of the trails that were open and summited Enchanted Rock at the end of the day. We had a great time and really enjoyed the trails, especially the more challenging ones like Echo Canyon Trail. The only downside of Enchanted Rock is how busy it can get. As one of Texas' most popular parks, it fills very quickly. The toilets were also closed during our visit. Instead, there were banks of porta-potties to use. It wasn't horrible, just not ideal. They did offer hand sanitizer at least. In all, we had a great trip and really enjoyed the trails. Take water, wear sunscreen. There isn't much shade here at all. Also, consider taking a jacket if you summit. It is incredibly windy up there and can get pretty chilly!

It is worth the drive with lots of trails for different levels of ability. It was a little cold in January so bring a coat as it can be breezy at the top.

Not a difficult hike, and certainly worth the view. I've been up there several times, but was first time for my partner
