The Main street district of Fredericksburg, Texas is a beautiful example of late 19th and early 20th century Texas architecture and building. Its remarkable how well preserved the town is. But it's all shopping and it's all meant to separate tourists from their money.

Charming area with beautiful architecture and lovely old buildings. Lots of shops and restaurants, but doesn’t feel too touristy. Be sure to stop in the old courthouse, which is now the library.

If you're visiting Fredericksburg, you're probably here for the wineries, hill country atmosphere and German cultural influence. Main Street is approximately 10 blocks long and four blocks wide. You can divide the 40 block area into West Main, East Main and Off Main. There you...More

Main Street Fredricksburg is a delightful place to spend the day. Shops of every description abound here. Wine tasting and dining or just grab some fudge from one of the many candy shops. Visit an Amish shop, buy cute clothes or souvenirs. There is something...More

Main Street is quite a surprise. It is super-clean, beautifully-presented and appears completely crime-free. Vendors leave stock and signs out at night - anywhere else, it would soon disappear! There is an eclectic mix of galleries, gift shops, clothing stores, wineries and cafes. It’s a...More

here you have great shopping, wine tasting, dining and museums in what still looks like an old west town (except for the cars of course). Many shops still have a "porch" overhanging the entrances excellent old style german archetecture

Lots of shops, restaurants, and wineries, huge crowds, and not much parking. Much smaller than expected but if you start walking it is not that small. A must visit while in Fredericksburg!

I really don't know. I would call the Baron's Inn. I am sure they would have the information. They are a nice hotel and would know the area practices on Christmas. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
