Killed a day in Galveston

Spent several hours on a "combo" ticket for the rainforest and aquarium exhibits. We did expect to see more flowers blooming on the grounds... there were lots of bushes and trees but very little blooming outside. The rainforest was good, but could have used more details on labels as well as more labels. They claim 5000 species of plants and... More

We had a couple days to kill in Galveston before going on a cruise, so we took our nine-year-old son here for the day. Although it was a little pricey for tickets, with all of the animals and exhibits they have, the cost is understandable. For the price, I think they should include the rope course and a zip on... The rope course was a lot of fun. There are several levels and even a kiddie rope course. The levels get harder the higher they get, there is also a zip line connected. You could easily spend 2 hours or more working your way through the course. Well worth the money.

The Aquarium and Rainforest Pyramids are amazing to walk through. The Aquarium is sectioned by Oceanic Zones so you can see everything from Penguins to Sharks. The walkthrough tank is impressive to stand under and watch the fish, stingrays and sharks swim overhead. Great picture ops there too. Most people will not experience anything like that in their lifetime, just... More

We only to the aquarium went with our grandchild and parents. Great place for him and the other child-wanna-be's. The aquarium is great. Loved the Penguins. Got there at 10:00 when they opened. After going around the loop inside and waiting about 15 minutes for the Penguin feeding (fun to watch), we were done and it was only 11:15. Yup.... More

Alittle pricey! They do have a lot to see and do! The butterfly exhibit was a favorite of ours! I like that that thus have different exhibits all the time!

I visited Moody Gardens with my husband, our five-year old son, and my in-laws. It's very wheelchair accessible. However, there are no family restrooms. My MIL's caregiver is her husband, so family restrooms are important. The choices for food are a snack bar and a sit-down restaurant. The snack bar food is expensive and not that good. We visited on... More

I purchased tickets online to avoid the confusion that is usually in these types of places. When I got there, no one guiding and they did not have signs showing you where to go. Once inside My daughter and I walked around for about 20 mins. and were completely done with the tour. For what you pay to come here... More

This is a great place to take kids. Our granddaughters are 3 and love seeing the fish and penguins. The rainforest pyramid is fun with butterfl ies and monkeys. Only issue is the staff. Do not seem to care. Also the 3d glasses are giant...too big for any young child and no kid size glasses available.

We were short on time so we were not able to visit the aquarium or the beach but the rainforest was well worth the stop and price of admission. The normal parking lot and adjacent hotel parking were full. We ended up parking in the Schlitterbahn lot but this might not be an available option once the park opens for... More
