We saw The Great Storm, a 25 minute movie about the 1900 Galveston hurricane. $6 per person was too much for what it was. It was my husband and I so we paid $12 and it reminded me of those cheesy movies you had to...More

Was told to make sure and check out this theater. We watched the Great Storm - it was a good history lesson and a short movie.

We stopped in to see the movie on the 1900 hurricane. Ticket was $6 each, and the "movie" was about 25 minutes long. I say "movie" because it was essentially a slideshow. The explanations were good, and the script was enjoyable, but for the price,...More

There are just two short films of relatively low quality, and , of course, a gift shop. No artifacts, photos or other displays of the horrendous storm.

Film about the 1900 Hurricane/Flood was dated and not of good quality. It was fairly superficial. We decided not to see other films here.

We went to see The Great Storm movie...but it wasn't a movie, merely a collection of drawings, photos, and narratives from the storm. While we learned something new, like what happened to the bodies, we were disappointed with the presentation given for the admission charged.

If you are a History nut like me do not miss this one! The Great Storm is only about 30 minutes, it tells the tale of the most deadly natural disaster in US history. It hit Galveston Island 8 September 1900. The exact number of...More

I'm from Galveston County, and have turned a lot of folks onto Galveston Island. For those who have 30 minutes to watch this VERY informative show, I almost always make sure it's on the itinerary. I've probably seen it at least 20 times now, and...More
