The beach is kept up daily and is a comfortable place to visit. I highly recommend getting up early to capture the sunrise as no other place will offer. Enjoy!

It's the beach. It is kept clean. However, I can't believe you have to pay to go to the beach when there are still other free beaches. Also, Galveston now required paid parking down the seawall. I know, I know, but it is a little much!

Plenty of trash cans! Large beach and parking areas. Family friendly and lifeguard is usually on duty.

For a few dollars to park, you have a great beach with plenty of resources to make your visit comfortable such as restrooms, chairs, umbrellas and food.

Our family visited Stewart Beach on a recent weekend trip to Galveston. There were a fair number of people there, but it didn't feel overly crowded. We enjoyed swimming, watching ships in the distance, and playing in the sand (which is sand, not dirt as a previous reviewer falsely claimed). The bathroom/shower area was kind of gross because of people... More

We just used the beach, not the facilities included. The beach is super nice, and we felt pretty secure with our vehicles in the parking lot.

It's hard to not like a beach, but when you are expecting sand and get hard-pack dirt, it's a little bit of a disappointment. Fun to watch all the ships lined up on the horizon coming and going.

We utilized this pay to enter beach because of the availability of its facilities. There are bathrooms, food, and chairs/umbrellas available for purchase/rent.

This is the non alcohol beach. So it caters more towards families so it's filthy. They do rake and comb the beach on a regular basis but they don't keep up with it like east coast beaches do. Plus you get a beautiful view of the oil rigs on the horizon. Enjoy.

Visited Stewart beach the Tuesday after labor day. The water was awesome and the environment at the beach was great for families. Nice wide beach.
