Loved the location and the peaceful area. Easy access from the car to the beach, which is great when you're unloading 3 kids and all of their stuff. We brought our own canopy which meant we could not be right along the water but we...More

The beach is a beach. They offer chair & umbrella rentals. When there is rain, most of the parking lot becomes a lake. It cost $12 to park, ridiculous price when you can park along the seawall for $1 an hour and get the same...More

On another website for reviews, this beach is one of the best for family... I disagree in all matters. 1. Health Concern - I do understand the beach is a gulf beach and a number of algae play a role for the color of the...More

$10 to park. $35 for chairs and umbrella. Crowds of people - less so diring the week. Nice beach, but you will be money ahead to bring your own chair.

This beach was very busy. It seemed nice enough for a Galveston beach. But our main reason for going to Stewart Beach was to have access to showers. It was a nightmare. The lines to the showers were so long, we stood there for 45...More

We are staying at a RV park only about 100 yards from the beach. Our several walks over to the beach have been great. Good life guard coverage, and fairly clean beach.

We were lucky enough to have an absolutely gorgeous day in Galveston, not too hot, not too cold... and Stewart Beach was a lot of fun.

Beach was great. Lots of fun. Washrooms and playground structure...so perfect for young family. Rentals for umbrella and chairs was steep...considering no one was on the beach. Also the washrooms were a really long walk from the water...makes for an adventure with a two year...More

Yes, you can bring all your own stuff (except alcohol, think that's only allowed on East Beach). I am disabled, & when went to bldg to get beach-accessible wheelchair & go to "special use area" (where you can drive your car... More
What beaches allow alcohol in Galveston? I usually travel across the ferry to crystal beach. I'm 40 now,I have been going to Galveston and crystal beach growing up as a small child. I love the history, the strand and the beaches are great and memorable. Nothing like sitting on the beach watching the ocean waves crash rolling over wave after wave endlessly.and the sounds all around if you have a quiet spot. Love it! So what beaches are alcohol friendly now?
