The place is beautiful, and I will add a word or caution. I suggest everyone check this place out, but use caution if you are handicapped, like me. This is an very old, historic building, but not the most handicapped friendly.

Wonderfully restored 19th century opera house. Top notch live entertainment throughout the year. Several good restaurants in the immediate area.

Kinda chessey. Small after thought concession stand. Small seating. Quaint building. Symphony was just so so, would not go back to hear them again. Parking was a challenge.

We have been here twice now and really enjoyed the architecture and the shows we saw. After looking at a list of upcoming shows we will defiantly be coming back a few more times.

The Grand is THE place to enjoy an intimate concert. All seats are so close to the stage you can almost touch it and the price is always reasonable. Why drive to Houston for entertainment when we have the Grand?

I've seen folks in ball caps and shorts seated next someone in a suit. It's been pretty casual every time I've been there. I usually wear nice jeans/slacks and a button up shirt and no ones tried to throw me out yet.

You can dress any way you feel like. Yes to shorts and a baseball cap. I personally would not ware a baseball cap an event like this.
