Our first trip there was just to check it out. Very interesting displays and lots to see. The second time I went to the 3rd floor computer lab to pull up some information and print it out. The girls in there were super helpful. The cost was 10 cents per copy to print. It was a rainy day and a... More

We were told about the fourth floor of the Rosenberg Library by a young lady at the Galveston Visitors Bureau. Following a trip to the Island we decided to go visit. There is no admission charge and we quickly went to the fourth floor. There was a temporary display of the "small houses" of Galveston which was very interesting. It... More

4th floor is the main museum. Not a large exhibit, but it does have some uniqueness to it. Self-paced and a free attraction. We recommend to visit the visitors center across the street in the Ashton Villa as well.

I enjoyed the interior and exterior of the library. I needed to use a computer and I appreciated the library staff that allowed me access with my fiance's library card. The printing of documents was very economical compared stationary store.

The Rosenburg Library is a worth while stop in downtown Galveston. It is a wonderful library donated by Henry Rosenburg in 1900 to provide free library facilities for the children of Galveston, Texas. It is oldest library in continuous operation in Texas. On the 4th floor is a small museum which is a great introduction to the history of Galveston.

Library with a very nice Galveston history museum on the top floor. Great place to spend an hour or so...especially if you get a rainy day in Galveston.

I went with little expectations. I actually thought it was pretty neat. There were lots of neat facts that I didn't know about Galveston's history. I also enjoyed the photo exhibit of tiny houses. There were replicas of ships, real items that were donated, and organized displays throughout the fourth floor. If you are around the area, be sure to... More

A great library with wonderful facilites for children. On the fourth floor is a museum about Galveston that helps you understand the city and why it was so important. A wonderful, helpful reference library on the same floor.

When you take the time to read the comments by all the photos of the smallhouses you will gain insight into the fantastic history of this fascinating city. The small houses tell about the settlement, and re-construction of Galveston. There is also a large display showing some of the history of the settlement and reconstruction. Galveston has an amazing history... More
