Great for an evening stroll and great for a cooling dip in the San Gabriel. Blue Hole is right off the town square and has a night rocky beach. Wading or swimming, free and open to the public.

You will know when you get close because cars are parked up and down the streets that are close by. Lots of small families stake out their area early and there are water falls that are pretty but most of the seating area is grass...More

It wasn't crowded since we were there on a week day. My grandson had fun swimming and meeting other boys to play with. He didn't want to leave. It is a great place to spend the days with a picnic lunch and other snacs.

Just visited Blue Hole last week with two nephews, aged 12 and 15. They loved playing in all levels -- a bit deeper and shallow. Lots of folks in the shady rocks enjoying picnic lunches and swimming. Felt great with the temp of 95 degrees.

What an interesting place to visit. A real swimming hole with waterfalls and different depths of water. If you don't want to swim, take off your shoes and put your feet in the water.

Very nice cold waters to refresh yourself on a hot day. It is good for everyone, easy access. Make sure you bring your water shoes as there are somo very slippery areas. Will be back with the family!!!

The Imhoff dam was built in the early part of the last century. It has long been a place for locals to cool off and mix. It predates swimming pools in the area by decades. The current use is for young people, families and singles,...More
