Oakdale RV park is right across the street from part of the Paluxy River. Big Rock Park has huge rocks that you can play, walk through and climb on and or play in the river. Fun times

Shallow rock-bed river where dinosaurs used to tread. For free fun, start off at Big Rocks Park in the river town of Glen Rose. Scramble over the boulders, or just head straight to the river's clear water, soaking up nature. Fun for splashing kids and...More

The river is a good place to wade, fish, canoe or tube in. It is also nice for locals just to enjoy the view.

So peaceful and serene. Nature's scenery at it's wonderfully best and you can't ask for anything less. There's just something about watching and listening to the water flow that makes your stress just melt away.

The Paluxy goes up and down but it's especially pretty going through the little town of Glen Rose. We've spent many an hour in a tube or canoe on this river.
