Definitely a good place for families to let the kids run and play..... BUT if you have little kids, this place is full of accidents waiting to happen so you have to be right with them. There is an area with “not so big rocks”...More

Nice place in Glenrose, the kids can play on the rocks and in the river. Everyone will enjoy this area. It can be crowded at times but everyone seems to be accommodating. It's a nice break from exploring the area.

I have visited Big Rocks many times. Nice place to commune with others. A little afraid of the virus germs in the water at times--particular when there has not been adequate rain, so I don't actually swim there. But the rocks are so majestic just...More

We visited today, just to get out of the city. It is 108° so we did not stay long. It is a vivid reminder of how severe the drought is here. The natural beauty is incredible as is the remains of the original dam.

A nifty little pocket-park tucked away downtown, Big Rocks, offers exactly what you expect—big rocks. Really big rocks dot the landscape and are perfect for climbing, crawling under and scampering over. There are loose stones and fossils as well, along with some water features.

There was hardly any water when we were there but that didn't make it any less amazing! Rock climbing, rock skipping, and minnow watching. They kids had a blast.

When the kids were young they loved climbing on the rocks. A free attraction worth taking a look - even if just from the car. When the river is up many locals swim there. Always HOT in the summer. If you have kids that like...More

The rocks are really cool, seems crazy in the middle of nowhere! The river was a good place to cool off but it is so sad to me - people leave trash all over. My granddaughter went around and picked up a bunch of it....More

This is a small city operated park. There’s no admission fee. Our kids loved climbing all over the giant rocks. They also enjoyed walking through the Paluxy river looking for little fish. There’s not much to do here besides that. It looks like it gets...More

The water is not deep. But your thoughts will be as you sit on the big rocks.

No. It's not very big , but it's worth seeing if you happen to be there. You can park and walk right in.
