Beautiful area. Walked the River Walk and then walked across the Dam to Big Rock Park. Not a large park but rocks were very cool. Would go back

It was fun going through the rocks and climbing around them. This is a very interesting rock formation. I did a little fishing in the river using light tackle and caught some perch and small bass. Be careful it is raining since the rocks will...More

Definitely a good place for families to let the kids run and play..... BUT if you have little kids, this place is full of accidents waiting to happen so you have to be right with them. There is an area with “not so big rocks”...More

Nice place in Glenrose, the kids can play on the rocks and in the river. Everyone will enjoy this area. It can be crowded at times but everyone seems to be accommodating. It's a nice break from exploring the area.

We visited today, just to get out of the city. It is 108° so we did not stay long. It is a vivid reminder of how severe the drought is here. The natural beauty is incredible as is the remains of the original dam.

A nifty little pocket-park tucked away downtown, Big Rocks, offers exactly what you expect—big rocks. Really big rocks dot the landscape and are perfect for climbing, crawling under and scampering over. There are loose stones and fossils as well, along with some water features.

There was hardly any water when we were there but that didn't make it any less amazing! Rock climbing, rock skipping, and minnow watching. They kids had a blast.

We stopped by this park on our way out of Glen Rose for the weekend just to say we'd been there. I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't think looking at a bunch of big rocks would be all that fascinating but it kind of was....More

The water is not deep. But your thoughts will be as you sit on the big rocks.

No. It's not very big , but it's worth seeing if you happen to be there. You can park and walk right in.
