Coming there with friends, to find a crowded spot around this lake. Unfortunately, we could not found it even one. What we found were small outlet, selling tea, coffee and snack. Good for having chats there while enjoying the view, misty view. Heard several times Tour de Singkarak being held here.

Singkarak Lake is magical lake. As if it has a mantra that You can relieve your stress when you just see it. You can eat both authentic cuisine of Solok: Bilih fish and Beras Solok or Solok Rice. It's very delicious

The first thought that crossed my mind when I arrived at the lake was "This place is really cool, literally" The breeze by the lake felt really nice and cool. Well, solok is cooler than padang but the wind felt really great. It had good view and street restaurants to sit down and chill. I don't think there is any... More

The lake is locared between Padang Panjang and Solok city. It is very scenic driving along the lake side from Padang Panjang to Solok or the other way. You can stop at Ombilin for a tea or coffee. Toilet is one of the problem as not many of the cafes has sanitized toilet.

It should be a beautiful Lake historically. However, the air quality with foggy condition create veiled horizon and difficult to take good photos. Don't know is it daily situation or only at certain days, but it is very frustrate for tourists willing to take good quality photos. Moreover, the restaurants at the perimeter of the lake litter the lake by... More

Along the way to Sawahlunto, Batusangkar, was nice to stop by to the Singkarak Lake. It was very relaxing to see the beautiful, small waves, and the fishermen work. I bought the dry of small billis fish (some ready to be eat).
