This is a little known museum in Houston that is a real gem. It is not the least morbid or scary. Rather, it is very informative and educational. A variety of hearses, caskets and other memorabilia are displayed. The docents are very knowledgeable and amiable....More

A cultural and historical journey through time. One of a kind exhibits both educational and entertaining found no where else.

This museum is tucked away among a bunch of apartment complexes, but it's worth visiting, especially if you're into history, cars, or anything related to this industry. The free tour is great, and lasts 2-2.5 hours if you're interested, or you can just look around....More

The museum was very interesting, they had many old funeral carriage's going way back. The displays were done very well. You really see the history of the funeral in other era's. It was well worth seeing.

The Museum of Funeral History was an interesting alternative to Houston's excellent art and science museums. The exhibits are a bit of an eclectic mix. There is a huge selection of historical hearses including horse-drawn. There was also a surprising amount of detail paid to...More

Huge museum that usually flies under the radar due to the fact that it's in the north of Houston. Make a stop at Burn's BBQ for lunch, then come check this out. Very interesting and worth a visit.

If you have time to "kill" take your weary body down to the funeral museum for some unexpected and interesting digs! People are just " dying "to get there.

So you know, it's not a big building nor does it "stand out" (unless you were looking for it, you might not notice it). It's tucked away in a residential neighborhood, but a few blocks from the main drag. It's best... More

Hi! I believe it's $10 for adults...I'm a senior and I think I paid $9.00. And yes, they do accept credit cards! As far as food, I didn't see a café or anything onsite, but a number of restaurants are nearby. It's Houston... More
