If you like antique furniture, I recommend a visit to the house; if not don't bother. The house isn't all that special. The museum focuses on the furniture. . Otherwise stick to the gardens. They are fabulous. I plan to go back in the spring....More

A must for those interested in American Decorative Arts, this wonderful collection spans several hundred years. Like Winterthur, (Dupont was a rival collector) rooms are period and contain some truly rare and exceptional pieces.

I didn't see any dogs in my visit, but you might want to contact the Gardens directly. For safety reasons they might not, there is a bridge you have to cross and only one person at a time and no stopping on the bridge. It... More

Yes there are many times brides have photos taken in the garden area. I am not sure about using the house. The gardens are beautiful and photographers use it often.
