We drove around this area and I was impressed with the size and scope of the big convention center. There are hotels nearby. We did not go inside, but I suppose it has the usual features of a big city convention center. Can accommodate lots of people.

There are very few hotels in walking distance that offered the conference rate for government. Thus, attendees are forced to scatter throughout the city. Also bringing in food trucks helps with lunch, but standing in 100+ degree heat with no shade or misters was not an option. We always went elsewhere

The George R Brown Convention Center in Houston. A massive building that looks like a huge ship. Downtown location is perfect with several hotels, restaurants, a great activities center. Overall a great place for any thing.

Was clean, with security and some clear "no carry guns" signs that were somewhat comforting knowing the politics there. Police and security people were polite and helpful. Bathrooms clean and well stocked.

Clearly made to resemble the Beaubour Centre in Paris, this is a humongous venue loudly announcing its presence from far away in bright blue & red colors. Inside, several places to eat and relax when you need a break from whatever event you are attending. I liked the Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen (see separate review).

Very large and clean convention center, the security and staff here were all very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.
We attended the NRA convention here and with the recent shootings in Uvalde there were lots of protesters outside.
Security and the police kept them back on the first day and we could not hear their shouts. Great place to hold/attend a convention!

HUGE Convention center. Attended the TML Conference here in October. It's a bit outdated looking, but it was nice. The chairs in the breakout rooms could have been a bit more comfortable though.

What a beautiful time of the year to celebrate the holidays in Downtown Houston. The Alley Theatre is showcasing the Christmas Carol online, as well as the gorgeous Deck the Hall stunner in the windows of George R Brown Convention Center. As you stroll and look into the window, there are signs with a QR code and the name of the Christmas tree themed designers. It’s so hard to choose your favorite to vote for because they are all so wonderful. A lot of thought and creativity went into it. I truly had a great time since the weather cooperated and I didn’t need a jacket. There are bikes and scooters to rent. And ice skating at Discovery Green. The entire family will enjoy it.

It's a big convention center, large enough to work with one of the US's great and largest cities. Big display area working for the local business.
