I did enjoy my tour. I don't know a lot about Texas history since I'm originally from Louisiana so these tours allow me to study up. There are a few nice pieces of art in this particular tour.

This home belonged to the Mastersons and still has many of their personal effects, including family photos. The art ranges from okay to excellent, but there aren't a lot of major pieces. Can only be visited via a docent tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable...More

This is a great place to go a couple times a year or more. They also have events there (check their website). A great tour and beautiful grounds right in the heart of Houston.

Hard to visit. Garden is free and open but inside is by docent tour only. You have to call and schedule a tour. It's not expensive but I would find it overrated. It's a nice mansion in an exquisite area of Houston. The house itself...More

Donated by the Masterson family, Rienze is one of the most beautiful homes in Houston. The gardens are quite beautiful and unique. If you love architecture and beautiful gardens then this should be on your list of places to visit.
