We love this place. It is a huge Mediterranean grocery store and it has delicious food, fabulous sweets, desserts and pastries. Also great appetizers. Love their kabobs.

Was looking for a grocery story to pick up a few things for a hotel stay for 5 days. Found this store on Google maps and dropped in. Really an amazing store. I'd call it specialty food store. They have a lot of different types of food, from middle east, to european. They have fresh and dried fruits, fresh seafood and meats, a deli, and a bakery. When I stopped in on Sat they were making fresh pita bread that you could watch coming down the a conveyor belt. I stocked up on everything from nuts, to German beer, to lunch sandwiches, sparkling water, olive tapenade, bakery desserts and fresh fruit. Looks like you can eat lunch here also. It isn't a Whole Foods, but I'd argue it is better!

Nice addition to the heart of Houston to get some groceries. Many apartments around this address so probably why it survives. Things a bit pricey but one pays for convenience

We ate here on a Saturday morning with choices from their "brunch" menu. It was decent food for the price but nothing that would make us go back when there are other options nearby. Service was a little slow due to under staffing I would guess. There just didn't appear to be enough servers for the amount of customers

You can come here for a meal (including seating) or to do some serious healthy grocery shopping. Prices are reasonable. Metered parking is available curbside or you can walk here from just about anywhere downtown.

No matter where you eat, you need to go here for your dessert. The selection is very impressive and reasonably priced. They are some of the best desserts I've ever had. They are simply AMAZING. You can purchase your dessert, then sit outside or inside to enjoy it. I highly recommend coming here .

We were staying downtown and heard much about Phoenicia and not disappointed. Wish there was one near me. Would try to compare it to Whole Foods but it was so much more! Grocery store, gourmet foods, international food, fresh baked breads, cheese, beers and a bar!!!

Is this an upscale grocery, an urban bar, take out food bar? It's all these things, but mostly this is a fun place to check out. Great drinks are available from the bar, there are hot food counters, a sandwich maker, fresh fruits and baked goods, groceries and housewares. It's fun - and tasty!
