New in Houston and trying to experience Houston restaurant and night life. Love Sambuca and the ambiance. I like the band playing my first time, however, the band has been hit or missed last time I went to Sambuca Excellent service and drinks. bathroom needs improvement. Sambuca is a favorite and definitely will go back again.

The place is gross and dirty. Food was blah and restrooms dirty. Band was good but skip it if you're hungry

Visited here despite the mixed reviews. Great singer playing cover versions with a slightly African vibe. Service was good, food was fair. 2 great cocktails and reasonably priced. On the downside, the toilets were a disgrace. My husband said he'd seen worse, at Glastonbury. Wouldn't go back but would not suggest you don't try it.

This place is great for a business lunch or a drink after hours. Some refer to it as the best "Cougar" bar in the city. for Mother's Day they had a $33 buffet with music so we figured we would meet my parents and enjoy. We showed up 15 minutes early as they suggested then proceeded to wait for about... More

Had heard about this place being great, so we had time before a show at Jones Hall one evening...UGH!! Drinks were to sweet (to much syrup), food was mediocre and to cap it off, we saw a damn RAT running across the overhead piping...anyway, certainly will not return...

Found Sambucca through a search engine for downtown restaurants. The cocktail menu was unique. I tried a coconut mojitos that was delicious. Our waiter Andrew was very helpful describing the items on the menu and recommending items to our party. One of my friends had a steak with mashed potato tots and green beans. The steak was so tender and... More

My husband and I are staying downtown to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary, and our dinner experience at Sambuca last night was more than wonderful. This is one of my favorite places downtown, and I'm happy to say it's now even higher on my fav list. Last night the hostess sat us close to the stage, as requested, without a... More

A bit overpriced, but the food was good enough. The service could have been better though. I liked the drinks!

I visited last night with some girlfriends. We had a reservation for 5 @ 7PM. Two of us arrived early and grabbed a drink at the bar. The bar service was immediate and friendly even though it was busy. When the rest of our party arrived we were promptly seated by the back wall. It was very easy to converse... More
