If you have little ones, they will love to watch these creatures run! Take bread or something to throw out for them to eat.

This is just a fun little detour on the way to Joyland or Mackenzie Park for the little ones. The open space allows for the prairie dogs to run around and they come up so close to you. Our kids loved watching the prairie dogs and seeing them run back and forth and make the little noises and jump in... More

Make this part of an afternoon with the kids. I took two grade school boys for an outing and this was one of the stops. The prairie dogs are fun to watch and you learn about their habitat. It doesn't take a lot of time but it was great as part of a larger adventure.

I would recommend to go with a group so that it can be much funner. Do some research and take some food to feed them. They are super cute and they're are numerous amounts of them. Be careful driving around sometimes they cross the streets.

Lovely to see prairie dogs in their own space. We were able to see them eating and going in and out of their burrows.

This is a must see for anyone visiting Lubbock who has never seen prairie dogs or who knows nothing about how prairie dogs live. Just joking about my title "Excitement Overload", but it is fun to go and watch those little critters running and jumping around. These rodents are a nuisance to many, especially farmers; but, they'll provide some fun... More
