    Nice experience
This was my first time to this venue and recently attended an Opera by Texas Tech students. The venue was easy to find and there is a large parking lot. When we parked we noticed a sign out front that mentioned clear bags only of certain size and no bags or purses. So two of us had to leave our purses in the car covered and go in without items we might have needed that were in our bags. Disappointedly once we were inside and before the performance began, we saw someone with a back pack, many attendees with shoulder purses as well as others with purses. We did notice one attendee with a clear bag but it was the size of a tote bag rather than a zip lock size bag. So it was a bit irritating that the large sign outside that we adhered to was not enforced. They need to take that sign down or enforce it. Picking up at "Will Call" was easy and then to enter we went through metal detectors. The inside entrance has a grand spiral stairway on each side and a large gathering area. There is a small bar area with snacks and candies along with drinks including cocktails and wine. The items and pricing are posted on a board in front of the bar so you know ahead of time the costs. If you are buying a cocktail or wine you MUST by a plastic souvenir cup for $3. It is a nice cup though with a lid. One of us got a single wine in a Sauvignon Blanc ($10) and it came in a small cup. Then the other ordered a Fools Paradise cocktail single ($10) at the same price but came in a cup twice the size of the wine. A box of candy was $5. The seating is fairly standard design but they do have cup holders on the backs of the seats which made it very convenient in not having to hold the drink the entire time. The seat aisles seemed a bit wider than some which made it easier to walk through people. The only issue with our row of seats is they seemed to be loose in that if one person got up, the seats in the row shook. The performance was wonderfully presented with lovely voices, great costume design and set design. The music was very professional and on point with the actors. A very nice venue especially in this smaller town.

Awesome homage to the great Buddy Holly.
Oh the things you can learn here! Fantastic homage to the great Buddy Holly. Makes you a little sad though. He was only on the music scene about 2 years and look at the impact he made. 22 years old when he died. Love the video showing those who were so influenced by him. JI’s house was a great exhibit. This is a great place to spend a rainy morning and then walk over to the Cast Iron Grill for great pie.

Great place for Buddy Holly memorabilia.
The Buddy Holly Center was a pretty cool stop we made in Lubbock. It's a small place but full of info on Buddy Holly. We timed it perfectly and we were able to tour the home next door, where the Dummer lived.

This was a really cool exhibit and very informative. From the childhood home to his motorcycle just a fun place to visit. Definitely worth seeing!

Must see when visiting Lubbock. As a native from Lubbock I love Buddy. I went crazy in the gift shop! Best place to pick up souvenirs for others…well I’m keeping them all for myself.

This is a fun part of Lubbock's history and is in the historical downtown area. They have different exhibits here and it is next to the Cast Iron Grill which is an iconic West Texas cafe always full of characters who love to eat down home food.

A great complement to the rock and roll museum and Norman Petty Studios in Clovis New Mexico. One hour needed.

This is a small museum but packed with plenty of information about one of the greatest singer songwriters of all time. I'm not sure what we were expecting as Buddy came from Lubbock and the museum was the reason for going to Lubbock. We were not disappointed with the museum.
