Buddy Holly is a classic. Must see, there is an admission fee. It is very reasonable. There is a short movie about his history and his music. The display and museum is a beautiful dedication to a rock star with too short of a career. He made an impact to many muscians all around the world.

Located in the depot district of Lubbock, the Buddy Holly center has so much to offer a music lover. Thursday evenings in the summer features live music in the courtyard. This is a great place for the history buff too.

Had a great time here with my parents. There is a nice museum with buddy holly history and artifacts. They also have a very nice gallery that displays new artwork often. Gallery is free and you have to pay for museum part.

A small center, but if you want to visit the museum, you have to know it is prohibited to take pictures in the museum. The cashier in the shop was not friendly at all and didn't seem to care. We left the place without visiting the inside of the museum.

West TX music is historically one of the roots of good country music. Buddy Holly was fascinating. They also have a great collection of other music. In the summer. On Thurs evenings, they offer free live music, which is excellent! Families come and dance, sing along, & toast one another. Great fun!

We had a large group that was making the rounds in the Depot District and made sure to stop and see this museum. It was very nicely done...spread out and roomy, yet plenty to look at. It was informative and lots of fun.

Stopped by to see the museum while in Lubbock so glad we did it's a really cool place with lots of history. Concert in the park at night was great the statue is a fitting tribute.

I was very impressed with the center. The Holly and Allison families were very involved in developing the center and the amount of memorabilia was quite impressive considering how short Buddy's career was. Buddy's impact on music, including those who impacted him, was presented well through a wall exhibit and a short film showing at the time (May 2015). If... More

It's small but nice and very well kept. I'm glad that we stopped to check it out. This gave my 12 year old a little history on music.
