This was a slight detour to where we were going but so worth the visit. There is a population of 3! There is a small general store with a good selection of souvenirs and a bar. They have music there every day from 1pm with a picker and anyone can go and join in and play. On Friday, Saturday and... More

Yep we came to the General Store and got our Luckenbach t-shirt. Friendly staff. Band plays outside with picnic table around and they have a bar too!

This was a neat experience! If you get a chance I recommend visiting. The staff was very freindly. The general store has some neat stuff forsale. You can take a picture on stage behind a metal guitar. Hated we were not able to go when they were going to have some music.

We are still singing Waylon's song about Luckenback............ We spent an afternoon at Luckenback and then went to the Johnny Cash tribute concert the next night. What an experience........... All was fantastic........and to see the Texans dance...Wow! They are the true "Dancers of the Stars."

I went on a Sunday afternoon. It was not very crowded and the live music was most enjoyable. Made for a very relaxing and pleasant stop. The Grocery Store was touristy (as it should be) and fun. I recommend this for any Native Texan as well as visitors from other states. Neat little nostalgic destination.

What a great place! Just like you would picture it. Easy to find. Country music playing outside. If you have heard the song you have to go to Luckenbach and the General Store is wonderful!!

It must be better when there's live music, but when I went, it was just a bunch of people buying souvenirs and some overpriced barbecue in the back. The 'general store' is just a tourist trap now. If you want an authentic general store, come to New England.

We heard of Luckenbach many years ago, being fans of Jerry Jeff Walker. My husband has had a Jerry Jeff concert at Gruene Hall on his bucket list for years, so a visit to Luckenbach was practically necessary. I did not know the interesting history of the town. The general store houses tons of souvenirs and folks come to the... More
