Visited the forest, Paradise Beach Hotel count 60 USD pro person. This trip is a tipical tourist trap. Overpriced at tour operators (official rate at the park is $10 pax incl guide). Monkeys are tamed and the walk through the mangrove forest is a joke....More

The Jozani Forest was a very interesting stop during the day with our Zanzibar guide. It is the only National Park in Zanzibar and it is famous for the rare red colobus monkeys. Aside from the ever popular monkeys, the rain forest park also contains...More

Took local transport from Stone Town and spent best part of the day here. Fantastic views of monkeys. Some lovely birds. Restaurant on site. Guides available to show you the wildlife if you need one.

We signed up for this through Ecotours and the day started off great with our driver Jumbe. When we got to Jozani, we were assigned to a group led by Aliy, who apparently is a volunteer from university. He was a wonderful guide: Didn't rush...More

That was our main goal for our trip to Jozani - to see the endangered red colobus monkey. The Jozani forest is the only place in the world you can see them. We took a taxi from Bwejuu to the park in the afternoon. The...More

Good experience to see the red colobus up close and the Mangrove. The forest is unquestionably beautiful and admirable, but nothing too special (for me at least). This tour is probably more enjoyable for families with kids.

Entrance fee is 10 USD/per person, which I find to expensive for what you get. First short walk to road side where you watch the monkeys (you can spot them as well as you drive thru without stoping in the forest). Then a short walk...More

Our guide was well familiar with the patterns of the monkey groups, and shared useful information. We walked through the forest paths and stopped quite close to two groups of young monkeys as they enjoyed playing and eating leaves. Later we walked along spongy rainforest...More

7,50 USD (or 10 in case you pay in local currency) per person. Guide optional, but recommended. Guide is free but you should tip about 10 USD per hour.
