Growing up, I visited The Valley frequently and yet I have no memory of this place. I was excited to find it through TripAdvisor but left unsure after reading other reviews. Overall, I had my likes and dislikes similar to what others expressed. Normal admission for adults was $8 (I think) or $15 if you wanted to see the bug... More

We went to see the bug exhibit thought it was included in the general admission. But we were wrong cost us another $8 each for a exhibit that was not worth near that. Next time we will check or not go at all.....will not be back

Had been away from the Valley (aka RGV) for a while, and was delighted to see the all that the International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS) was up to. Though my daughter was in S. America on vacation, she was able to enjoy via technology the captivating exhibit of BUGS at IMAS. This wonderful regional museum continues to embrace... More

Awesome summer camp for my 4 and 6 year olds .. Such a kind and loving staff .. Very professional and knowledgable ... They learned so much while having a great time... IMAS is a wonderful destination if you have young kids... They love it.

Staff here is friendly and knowledgeable and I have many wonderful memories from this place. I have celebrated my son's birthday's and visited countless events. We even watched a snake feed on live mice once. My only gripes are that they removed the cheap admission on Thursday. Also when there is an exhibit in the Discovery Pavilion there isn't that... The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I think the IMAS should be much bigger to help the local kids learn more about all things science and explore their imaginiation. There are some great children museums around the country and it's time IMAS grew and offered more experiences to the public. Our family has always enjoyed... More

This small little museum was well run and the people working there were so friendly. Well worth the 2 hours we spend there. Appropriate for all ages. Beautiful building. Hands on activities for kids. Nicely done exhibits. Didn't get to check out the playground due to the rain - but it looked like lots of fun!

The first time I came to the museum many years ago it only took us 5 minutes to see the whole place. This time it took us a little longer, LOL! There is something for everyone, from my 19 month old nephew to my 76 yr old mom. We all enjoyed it very much and saw almost all the exhibits.

I went to the “Sin Poesia No Hay Ciudad” opening, and the event was very well organized: young people, prepared speakers, good food and wine, and I talked to the artist and other people from art organizations that participated. I also visited the other exhibits there now, and I was glad to see variety. The staff has been professional the... More

Imas offers art exhibits in 5 separate galleries. Leaning toward contemporary art, there is currently an exhibit of indigenous Taiwanese textiles, and early 20th century stained glass. There are also splendid ongoing science experiences.
