Old town Mckinney is one of my favorites. The charm is pouring out of every seam of this little town. There are lots of Groupons out for some of the cafes etc. and they often have family gatherings, festivals etc. Go to the City of...More

Downtown Mckinney has a lot to offer all within a short walk! Restaurants such as Square Burger-their only sign is etched on the glass in the door-a burger inside a square-cool, huh! There is a 2 story pub with the bar upstairs and small restaurant...More

Downtown McKinney is like getting a piece of history. Eat a burger in what was once a jail that held Bonnie and Clyde, great antique stores. I love the holiday events downtown. My favorite is always a Dickens of a Christmas where people are dressed...More

I have visited Mckinney Historic Downtown. It is really different from other Downtowns of America because there are old historic buildings instead of high rise buildings. Car parking in every side of street. Many antique shops are there. There are lots of restaurants in Downtown.

I can't believe how downtown has changed. 40 years ago there was no shopping or restaurants downtown, now the shopping is great, with lots of variety, and it is hard to choose between all the great restaurants.

Every year I go to the wine event they do in the middle of the downtown. It is very enjoyable. They have a band and many wineries from texas to sell their wine but for 20 bucks you can taste them all. Make sure you...More

There are several free parking lots surrounding the downtown square. Now depending on what time you plan to meet friends; will depend on where you park. The closer lots fill up first. I would post a link, but it is against... More

the only one close would be the Grand Hotel at 114 Louisiana. I have not stayed there; please see the TripAdvisor reviews. But you're only a mile east of US Hwy 75, which has plenty of hotel variety. and downtown has plenty... More

As a previous shop owner I can tell you most all the retail stores close at 5pm but rarely turn away a shopper wanting in at 5:03 and will gladly stay late. So if you are looking to do some retail shopping I would plan on... More
