Went there with a friend who drove us, nice site and temple is in pretty good condition considering, and the view is stunning. And there's a nice cooling breeze!

About an hours drive out of Athens, this temple can be seen for miles. Open all day, but the best time to visit is on a good weather day at sunset. Get here 30 mins before sunset and you will be treated to a fantastic...More

My husband and I took a rental car down to the Temple and it was absolutely worth it in our opinion... We drove down in the late afternoon to catch the sunset - a fairly easy and picturesque drive. The temple itself, makes for a...More

I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon at this magnificent Temple. Spectacular views all round Cape Saunion as well. Definitely worth the 90 minutes trip from Athens.

In our opinion it is one of the best places for a tourist to visit if they want a day outside Athens. The temple is majestic and the scenery breathtaking, as you're being surrounded by the sea from three sides!!! Have a look at the...More

Hi, We are looking into taking the KTL bus from Athens to Temple of Poseidon in May to see the sunset. However, we read that the last KTL bus that leaves Souino is at 8pm. So, can someone tell us if the bus stop is close to the temple or should we just look into taking a tour?

the bus to Sounion also stops on Fillenion St just off Syntagma. Far more convenient if you are staying near Plaka, Syntagma, or this side of Athens. Just ask your hotel.
