Vouliagmeni Lake, in the heart of the Athenian Riviera, is the hidden...

Vouliagmeni Lake, in the heart of the Athenian Riviera, is the hidden treasure of Attica's nature. Situated on an idyllic landscape, this rare geological phenomenon is waiting to be discovered. The lake's brackish waters which are continuously replenished both by the sea and the underground thermal springs offer a natural and unique thermal spa experience.

Swimming at the Lake is an holistic experience all-year round. The water’s healing properties and the stable temperature, combined with the benefits swimming offers to the body and soul, promise a unique leisure activity. The Lake’s water gushes from springs 50 to 100 meters deep and have a temperature ranging between 22 to 29 degrees Celsius throughout the year.

Even more the small fish called Garra Rufa, also known as Doctor Fish or Spa Fish, indigenous and natural inhabitants of the Lake, promises visitors a unique peeling experience.

It is €12 each (see photo number 10 for complete price list) to go inside where you can use sun loungers & outdoor tables & chairs and put your feet into to lake for the little fish to nibble (photo 9) or swim further out where the fish don't bother you. Or you could just sit in the outside covered... More

We visited in April and very much enjoyed the swim when the sea around Athens was too cold to enter. Only gripe was that parking was very full and only got a place by good luck as someone was just leaving. Fish spa experience was very novel too!

Beautiful and relaxing place. It looks like a natural pool with lots of fish eating the dead cells of the skin. Well, prices a little bit high but totally worth it. Polite staff, clean environment. Wonderful scenery, especially by night.

The lake was definitely worth a visit, but I don't think they should charge you for a natural destination, at least not as much as they do. Add the parking tip, and it makes you not want to spend any money at the Café. Make the visit cheap and make money on the cafe, instead. The little fish biting away... More

Some guests were swimming and I saw the fish in the clear water. In February it seems to be heaven there. A reason to go back and spend several days there to relax but.... off... More

Beautiful place but the service and staff is below average. We ordered coffee and "fresh homemade lemonade without sugar" as the menu stated. When the lemonade arrived it was extremely sweet with sweeteners. I called the waitress and advised that the menu stated it was without sugar and she rudely advised that this is what the bottled drink stated. She... More
