The Plaza Mayor is a focal point for many of the tourists that visit the town of Trujillo. It is a lovely place with restaurants/bars at the edges but is spoilt by being used as a car.

Shop around for the best café. Some have an English menu and lots do daily all-in specials. Choose one in the sun when the wind is blowing!

This is an amazing plaza and, at certain times of day, you can even see it without it being marred by tour buses and cars!

The plaza is very clean with lots of restaurants and even parking, unusual for Spain. The buildings are well preserved and easy to access. Worth a stop especially if you go up to the fortress. Have a coffee and enjoy the sights.

Full of old world charm and friendly people. If you are staying in nearby Caceres, a visit to Trujillo is a must. Moreover, staying is even better.
