    good time
Beautiful place and a must if you can physically go. The stairs down are steep. Go early with cruise ships in port because there is a wait. We didn't so we waited like an hour and could only go into Crystal Cave. Crystal Cave is a walk through on the bridge (definitely do that one) and Fantasy is a walk on the outskirts. Discount if you purchase both together. There was a disconnect because the guy talking to the line kept saying you could do both and the guy at the counter only said you could do one. Parking is plentiful. There are electric ports for electric vehicle charging, but they did not work. Some of the poles say the charger did not work, others did not. So make sure vehicle is charging before wasting your time. We were there for quite a while and depended on the charging, which did not work. That resulted in us being stranded on the road later (a whole another story). Overall a great touristy place. Across from Swizzle Inn so just walk across the street. Accessible via the public bus too.

Great Hot or Rainy Day Activity
Shortly past the aquarium and next to the homemade ice cream and 'famous' Swizzle Inn are the Crystal and Fantasy Caves. Many tourists walk from the caves to have ice cream or Bermuda's signature Swizzle cocktail. The caves are about 30+ minutes from Hamilton. While we have been on other spelunking expeditions in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and the incredible tram cave-voyage in Barbados, Crystal Caves have something that the others do not - ocean waters that ebb and flow with the tides so that the water has a bluish hue and the pontooned walkways move up and down with the tides. The lighting in the cave only accentuates the bright blue water against the light white and yellow stalactites.. Very dramatic compared to earthen bottoms. The 30-minute tour was well worth the entrance fee. We did not do the Fantasy Cave and can't comment. There is a nice souvenir shop there as well.

    Make a Reservation
We went during an afternoon when cruise ships were leaving, and we were the only 2 in our cave tour group, which was great. However, we wanted to see both caves and it was going to be almost an hour wait to do that, and it was very hot and humid. The wait is outside, so we decided to just see one cave which was Fantasy Cave and the wait for it was about 25 minutes. It was good, but in hindsight we should have called and reserved both caves. The staff was great.

    Amazingly beautiful
A great natural attraction to go see, there are a fer more close by so you can spend some tome in the area. They want you to reserve your time slot online. We came early and they put us on a tour a 1/2 hour earlier which was fine. Beautiful wet cave, a must see item.

    A bucket list adventure!
This was truly a bucket list activity! I will admit to being a bit of a child and being concerned about the 82 steps down into the cave. Would I feel claustrophobic? All I can tell you is I did not, and it was truly an amazing place to visit. The guide was terrific, and we truly enjoyed the experience. If you want to visit caves in Bermuda, I definitely recommend this as an activity. It was a highlight of our trip! I would recommend contacting them early for a reservation. You do not have to pay for the reservation until you get to the caves so if your plans change, it’s not a problem. We visited the caves first, and then walked to Blue Hole and went swimming. We then had lunch at the Rum Swizzle Inn and dessert at Bailey’s ice cream. It was the perfect day!

Took our 17 month old; some info if you want to go with a toddler!
We had debated whether or not to go with our toddler and opted to skip it, but then met someone who said it was amazing and that if you're reasonably fit you can do this tour with a baby no problem so we decided to go! We're glad we went, but like others have said, you should definitely wear sneakers or shoes with good grip. The stairs are not difficult (and I wore a knee strap and have a bad knee) and you can take them slowly. A bunch of the strairs are wider, so it's not like you have to power up flights non-stop. I will say that if you have ongoing mobility issues or limitations, you should definitely skip this activity but I found it to be no problem with a rehabbed knee injury and my husband who has had knee surgery carried our toddler up and down the stairs without issue. If going with a toddler, they should be carried the entire time or you need to hold little hands tightly because once you are inside the cave, you are walking on floating bridges and the railing is high with a large toddler-size gap so a toddler can easily fall through and plunge into the very deep water. They also do a thing where they turn the lights off to experience pitch darkness as part of the tour. Our toddler was fine with this (it’s brief and he was in our arms and not afraid) but maybe not great for little ones who would find this scary. This is definitely something you can do with a toddler (ours loved it and we did too) but you need to assess the risks and decide if this makes sense for your family / ability. It would be very scary for some little ones but our one year old had a blast.

A Great Experience, Especially If You Have Never Been in Water-filled Cave
Take the 1, 3, 10, or 11 bus from the Cruise dock at the Naval Shipyards. We were truly impressed. You go down into the cave for about 80 steps. It was an amazing place to visit. The guide was really good, and we enjoyed the experience. A very inexpensive trip and tour compared to the prices the cruise ships charge. It really looks like the picture.

    Stunning caves worth the visit!
These caves truly are stunning! Millions of years old and discovered accidentally by two teenage boys in 1907 who lost their cricket ball down a sink hole! The azure colours in the caves are just gorgeous and our guide was informative. Sadly we didn’t manage to see Fantasy Cave as it was flooded but a good tour of Crystal Cave. I’ve given this a 5 rating as it really is a stunning natural wonder worth visiting. For me personally though the tour (53 minutes long) could have been much much shorter! Seemed to be a lot of padding in the chat!

Caves are different, we saw both and worth the admission fee. Was about a 30 min taxi ride from Hamilton. We had a good tour guide, each tour lasts about 30 minutes, there are steps involved.

If you have visited any publicly toured caves before you would have seen everything you would have here. 25 minute tour. 80+ steps down and then up. If you are not into the beach or historical site visits then this is a good spot.

We booked the combo tour, which took about 30 minutes each. Plan to be there for around 1.5 hours. It was neat to see and enjoyable, but I would not consider it a "can't miss" attraction. I think it adds variety to the vacation and is nice for an overcast day. Make sure to call ahead and make a reservation or find out how busy they are.

We had a good time in Crystal Cave, but considering the limited time that we had in Bermuda, I would not put this attraction on the top of my list. It was a busy day because there were three cruise ships in the island and there were no openings for reservations. We ended taking a very expensive tour to avoid the hassle of transportation and waiting for a long time. If you have never seen stalactites and stalagmites, it may be worth the expense. It is a small cave and to manage the crowd you have to be part of a guided group. Our guide was condescending and acted like an elementary school teacher. Maybe that is the only way to control the large amount of people visiting. It was not easy to take those pretty pictures that you see posted!

Visited Crystal Cave on a cruise excursion. I've been to several caves but this was unique. The cave is partially filled with a saltwater lake. You walk over a floating walkway. Great formations both above and below the water. Guide is friendly and knowledgeable.

Crystal Cave was sold out, so we were able to do just the Fantasy Cave. I think it was something like 77 steps into the cave. They are steep but do-able (hold the railing, as some were slick).

I expected it to be cold (as other caves I've toured have been). However, it was 70 degrees (not cool). No need to layer.

Pretty and interesting--worth the steps.

Worth the visit! We opted to take a tour of just one cave, for $24, and not both caves, for $35. We were happy we just did the one tour. It was very interesting and Ron our tour guide was the absolute best! The cave was amazing, but his commentary was awesome as well. Recommend this attraction and hope you are guided by Ron!

We enjoyed this.
Our Crystal Caves guide was brilliant! We liked Fantasy Cave as well.
The history is interesting and a bit mindblowing.

We did both as we know we won't visit Bermuda again so we didn't want to not see them both. I'm glad we did.

Recommend.
