The fort was one of our stops on Ricky's Island Tour. What a beautiful view! Construction on the fort spanned from the 1860s to the 1880s. British troops were stationed there until WW1 and American troops were stationed there during WW2. There is also a...More

A perfect location to sit & take in the views over Dockyard, The Great Sound towards 2 Rock passage & the whole centre of the island towards Hamilton, Better still a superb vantage point for the Americas Cup viewing !

An interesting military fortification built from 1868-1880. The fort never saw any hostile action. A higher elevation that is a good place to view the water, have a picnic (no tables or chairs, but has a restroom) or just catch the breeze while pondering days...More

We took the bus here and hiked in. At the top are great views of Bermuda. We watched the America's Cup race from here and loved it! Great spot to picnic. There are restrooms but no food.

Its easy to see why this site was built in the 1870s. The views are great, especially with the America's Cup races underway. Definitely bring your camera.

The weather stone is my personal favorite, but going in the tunnels and seeing how things were done is fun and educational. The view is incredible. And the rail trail is right there.

Absolutely one of the best places to view the sunset in a very quiet and tranquil setting. Great place for a nature walk through the trails or a picnic.

This is not your typical old fort visit. The fort was an unique style that suited the terrain and allowed for minimal structural requirements. Our guide gave a brief history of the fort. Ideal stop requiring only a short visit to enjoy the ruins and...More

We visited the fort on an island excursion and enjoyed visiting the fort and taking advantage of the phenomenal views from the fort. This is about a 30 minute stop to see everyhing
