This is a museum with very few impressionist paintings, but a great sense of the impressionist. Each room is covered with audio visual images of the great impressionist painters with quotes by them. You are surrounded by a visual and audio experience. The only negative...More

Such a shame that SO MUCH MONEY was spent to destroy a fantastic museum. It could be in a warehouse for all you know. A sucesion of rooms with videos projected on walls. The commentary was interesting but there was barely enough space for the...More

Dear Mr/Ms, We are sorry you did not enjoy your visit. The new project focuses on the Impressionist painting, its beginning and evolution towards Modern Art. The rooms are bare in order to increase the immersion effect. We are deeply concerned about the understanding and...More

As others have said this is a different chateau experience. Our experience might have been better if the audio guide had been more in sync with our tour. Good idea that needs some work. Too pricy to not see any real art. The Chateau is...More

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon when we visited the Chateau d'Auvers. We didn't enter the Chateau(heard it's not worth paying the tickets to go in), however, we had a wonderful time just walking around and taking photos around the chateau. If you are visiting...More

Try and make a full day of this trip. Aim to get to the museum around 10.00 then have a leisurely walk around this 'time warp' which takes you through the centuries including 'Haussman's massive changes to Paris' as well as the naissant group of...More

i was blown away by this, not a single piece of art on the walls yet I studied art throughout the two hours I spent there. I went from watching the can-can, to taking a train ride and everything in between. I had a translation...More
