13E50 for adults and 9E for children.I think it is expensive for what it is especially as you don't see any 'real' paintings just a lot of videos, some clothes, and a few newspaper cartoons.Parking was free when I went there in December. I'm not...More

We didn't explore the space and the grounds much, but the permanent exhibition is stunning. It consists of videos playing on a loop on giant, wall-sized screens, explaining what inspired the impressionists, tracing how the world was changing at the time, and explaining through a...More

I can't stress enough just how much we were blown away by the presentation at the Chateau. Through eight halls / rooms, you journey through the story of impressionism (2 dedicated to Auvers). The experience is not only edifying but the technology used is a...More

While the information about the birth if Impressionism was very informative the audio for non-French speakers dud not sync with visuals. Each room required a 5-7 minute wait for the visuals while the English audio went blithely on Needs work

You don't actually see the chateau at Auvers, but on the site there is a fabulous museum which gives you so much information about the Impressionists. it's very well done - you walk into a series of rooms (all completely white-walled at first), and then...More

This is a museum with very few impressionist paintings, but a great sense of the impressionist. Each room is covered with audio visual images of the great impressionist painters with quotes by them. You are surrounded by a visual and audio experience. The only negative...More

Dear Mr/Ms, We are sorry you did not enjoy your visit. The new project focuses on the Impressionist painting, its beginning and evolution towards Modern Art. The rooms are bare in order to increase the immersion effect. We are deeply concerned about the understanding and...More

As others have said this is a different chateau experience. Our experience might have been better if the audio guide had been more in sync with our tour. Good idea that needs some work. Too pricy to not see any real art. The Chateau is...More

A total surprise: this isn't a museum and there are no original paintings. Instead, you're taken on a tour of the places where Impressionism developed its character. You walk from room to room, each one representing a significant milieu for the movement: a Parisian street,...More
