We needed ski school for 4x3 year olds and 4x4 year olds high up as last week of season. Seemed quite chaotic as it was incredibly busy at the end of the season but staff knew what they were doing and ski instructors were excellent. Little ones enjoyed the ski garden in First Slide after the initial fear of the... More

Our son loved his week of ski lessons here. Staff were friendly and predominantly French speaking (which worked for us). Their supportive lessons allowed our son to flourish his first time on skis. By the end of the week he was racing down the slopes and was so sad to leave. Plus it was reported that the lunch was excellent... More

Go to Avoriaz and visit the braseries. You will find the best food. Avoriaz is the best place for young families with kids.

Booked our 3 year old in for 6 X mornings from 9.30 - 12 noon. He cried at first but soon got into it and started to like the activities. It would have been easier if there were other English speaking children here but he was ok when he got into the familiarity of it. Gayle was good at settling... More

We ski'd as a family with 2 young children. Our youngest who is just 3 attended the morning sessions everyday. She had a great time and learned about as much as we'd hoped for at her age regarding skiing. I found the staff to be very approachable and helpful. Although we did not watch the sessions, when we arrived to... More

We used Village des Enfants a few years ago for our then 3 year old and she had a great time so when we went back to Avoriaz this Christmas, we decided to enroll our other child who had just turned 3 to get exposure to skiing. Unfortunately, time has passed and the standards seem to have slipped significantly. Our... More

Really good set-up for the very young ones and first timers. They are in fairly large groups so for improvers it may not be the best option. The instructors all speak decent English and are really good with the kids. They have lifts inside the cordoned off area which is great as there is no pressure on the kids.

This really wasn't a great experience. We were a group of four families with eight kids between us, the eldest 9 and the youngest 5. The place was heaving and probably fine if you were a French speaking kid, but not much fun for English speakers. My two kids are pretty feisty and coped ok but didn't want to go... More

We only booked our trip 5 days before departure so were some what limited with choices of available ski lessons for the Easter holidays with some of the smaller English providers of ski lessons. I was a little dubious about booking an 'en mass' French ski school as I worried about it being a little impersonal, particularly for my only... More
