This mosaic of different destinations offers a multitude of different ambiances and atmospheres that also reflect the changing architectural styles of winter sports resorts since 1961. Most of La Plagne’s villages were designed by architect Michel Bezançon.La Plagne is part of the Paradiski area and therefore is one of the large ski resorts and is also a family-friendly resort with adapted package offers.

Of all the places I have skied in both the Western US and European Alps, La Plagne, deep in the French Alps, provides some of the best support around for disabled skiers. And, remarkably, it is built in, not added on. That is, at the accessible lifts, there is a special lane, well marked, for disabled skiers and guides, sort... More

Large resort with well maintained pistes. It is high and and has masses of snow-blowing, so it is fairly snow-sure. Masses of blue runs, so great for beginners/intermediates. Much of the accommodation is ski to/from your door. What's not to like?

There is plenty of skiing in this area and mostly blue runs. You can get to Les Arcs or Champagny or Montalbert ot Montchavin ski areas all on one all area pass. Also you can access the glacier where there is limited skiing (red run and a blue one) depending on the weather accessed by gondola.

We were a family group, returning to La Plagne for the 3rd time It's at a great height and the slopes are looked after very well. Remember , the snow has been rubbish this season, but not here! Masses of runs for every level of skier, and fast and efficient lifts

Wide range of slopes and Glacier's. From Mountain Village skiing through the trees to the top of the world from the Bellcote and Aiguille Rouge in Les Arcs. Varied Snow and experiences. Les Arcs and Piesey/Valandry fantastic a windy day. The Views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding area are mind blowing. We stayed in Belle Plagne. which had great... More

Big! So much terrain. Snow conditions were better than at Courcheval. And, as an American, it was good to have lunch options that weren't a full sit-down affair. Good discounted ski pass for beginners too.

We have really enjoyed coming year for the past few years. A mix of slopes and great for kids to learn. Pretty high so generally have good snow. Lots of nice places to eat on the mountains and in the village. Not much apres ski night life - but that is not why we came.

La Plagne is a good resort for beginners with many good blue runs for people learning to ski. For more advanced skiers there are reds and blacks but not as many as in the other resorts. Some of this was due to the fact we went in March and a few of the red and black runs were closed.

The skii resort has plenty to offer for beginners as well as thrill enthusiasts with paragliding snow biking grappling and simply walking and soaking up the views as other available activities. Also a view of the Mont Blanc is on offer.. (priceless)
