die ich kenne. Die Gegend zwischen Offenburg und Kenzingen ist geradezu gespickt mit diesen Prachtbauten. Ein Besuch in St. Margarethen ist immer wieder eine Freude.

La magnifique collégiale a été construite en remplacement d’une cathédrale romane délabrée selon le schéma de la cathédrale du Vorarlberg par Peter Thumb en tant qu’église-halle baroque dans les années 1732-1734. Le maître-autel et les peintures au plafond de la vie de sainte Marguerite ont été créés par le peintre Franz Bernhard Altenburger. L’église contient également des œuvres du sculpteur Johann Michael Winterhalder (y compris la statue de Marguerite sur la façade) et du peintre Johann Josef Christian.

Eine gut erhaltene Kirche mit sehr interessanter Kirchenkunst und schönen Fresken. Leider war das größte Fresko durch ein Netz verhängt.
Eine kleine Walker Orgel begleitet die Gemeinde beim Gesang

die sich in die Reihe der Kirchen in Ettenheim und Ettenheimmünster einreiht. Der Architekt Thumb ist wirklich ein beeindruckender Baumeister gewesen!
