Famous Tibetan teacher persuaded the Mayor of Benalmadena, who provided the land, to erect this monument in 2003, the highest stupa in the West. Not sure there are many Buddhists of the Nepalese school in Benalmadena to make merit here but anyway it's supposed to signify peace and prosperity. Amazing views of Fungerola and fantastic for photography also next to the butterfly park. There are buses which run on the road above the temple so should be able to visit without using... More

Nice to visit for short time, pretty views outside. Small gift shop hut but was shut, situated opposite the butterfly park. We spent a short time here. You can go inside and it is a square room with pretty walls and statues

If you are not a Buddhist, I think this place still has an aura of peace & tranquility, far from the madness which is Benalmadena. Not easy to reach, though!.
