We drove past this place so many times. Was finally able to stop and visit. Very Beautiful place. There is someone there to answer any questions you may have.

Famous Tibetan teacher persuaded the Mayor of Benalmadena, who provided the land, to erect this monument in 2003, the highest stupa in the West. Not sure there are many Buddhists of the Nepalese school in Benalmadena to make merit here but anyway it's supposed to signify peace and prosperity. Apparently he built sixteen other stupas in Europe to spread the... More

Don't really understand the fascination of the Buddhist temple as it does not seem to have anything to do with Spain but the location is really good. Amazing views of Fungerola and fantastic for photography also next to the butterfly park. There are buses which run on the road above the temple so should be able to visit without using... More

Nice to visit for short time, pretty views outside. Small gift shop hut but was shut, situated opposite the butterfly park. We spent a short time here. You can go inside and it is a square room with pretty walls and statues

If you are not a Buddhist, I think this place still has an aura of peace & tranquility, far from the madness which is Benalmadena. Not easy to reach, though!.

Visited last month with my partner and 4 year old while on holiday. Surrounding walks and views alone are breathtaking. Free entry to the temple however donations are welcomed. Small fee of €2 per person (children free) to visit the gallery downstairs. The temple is simply stunning, both exterior and interior. Feeling of tranquility upon entrance. Pictures can be taken... Loved visiting here. Beautiful. Lovely and peaceful and great surrounding area walks also. Could be expensive if large party visits and be mindful of closure times. Be mindful of wait for buses also as I visited initially without checking and it was closed and had to wait and hour for next bus
