The Comal River is unique. With Crystal clear water most of the time a rock shelf and spring fed its great for shallow drift diving, night dives and more. You can lap swim against the current, fish or just splash and play. It's a must...More

I did have a fun time on the river, but there are a few things people did not tell me prior to going. One, after the first shoot there is another shoot, but it can be dangerous. With everyone pushed against this chain link fence,...More

The Comal is a nice river to float because it's not too long of a trip (about 1 1/2 hours), it's fairly calm (minus the tube chute, which you can walk around, if you choose), and it's clean. My 8 year old daughter loved the...More

We typically choose the Comal river bc it is more family friendly but not this time. We were stuck time and again between large groups of very drunk, smoking, (cigars, cigarettes and pot), students, all blaring competing music as loud as their devices would handle....More

We love tubing on the Comal River we always enter thru Landa Falls. The float itself takes about 2:30 - 3 hours depending on the crowd. I really like the Comal over the Guadalupe river, it's just a better float and no shallow areas.

Me and my husband took our 4 year old to float the river. We went on a Monday morning and it wasn't to crowded and didn't run into any drunk floaters, thank goodness. That was one thing I was worried about. The river took a...More

It was a crowded but worthwhile venture to float comfortably in a tube for a leisurely trip down stream. Parking at prince Solms park is sparse but best for entering the water. The take out is only 1/2 Mike away by foot.
