Destination Gruene isn't just for tourists wanting to see thpe oldest dance hall. For us locals, it's the atmosphere and Winery on the Gruene is all that. Fun wines to sit and enjoy outside or in. Music floats through the atmosphere and nearby restaurants and shopping within an easy walk.

My wife loves the sweeter white wines they produce and buys a six pack every time we are in the area which is quite often with a son going to Texas State. Good inexpensive wine tasting offered and staff there is always friendly.

They have the best fruit infused wines (they also have "normal" wines as well :) We enjoyed our tastings with Laura. Fun little place with friendly people. Highly recommend stopping in while you're in Gruene. They also have wine is plastic bottles for floating the river or walking around town.

After exploring most of Europe the last few years we decided to stop by this place while exploring New Braunfels, TX. We found out it is not really a winery, no vineyard at all, they get their grapes from a broker as a concentrate already and mix their own wines. The wines do not compare to any European Wine at... The fruited wines were the best. THE Black cherry pinot noir added a note to the pinot noir. The tasting is reasonable. We took home 2 bottles of wine and added two glasses to our collection.

The staff here was excellent. We talked with several of them throughout our tasting and they kept us in stitches with some of their stories. One of our best winery experiences in our travels across the US.

I LOVE the wine here! And so does every single person I drag here. They're known for their fruity wines: strawberry, peach, watermelon, green apple, black cherry, etc. Mostly on the sweet side but they do have red wines as well. $3 for tastings and they give you big portions! I REALLY wish they would update the building though. It... More

We went just as it opened for the day, and the service was impeccable! The tastings were reasonable. I fell in love with the Blueberry Merlot and bought a bottle! I love the wine barrels that served as tables-- we sat at the bar. We also bought a Chilean Malbec which was tasty also.

Upon walking up there was loud inapproprite guy shouting at people. However, Didnt even bother with sample tastings after looking at menu. The Grapevine doesnt charge for sample tastings and its much better atmosphere. We went elsewhere.
