The Lighthouse is a must hang around place while in SPI on a family trip. There is a market on the weekends and the aquarium and pier is just next door. Its a great way to spend an afternoon.

Easy to find and with impressive history, visiting the lighthouse is worth the trip. We decided not to climb to the top, but enjoyed the grounds and the information in the keepers cottage.

We walked around the grounds of the lighthouse. We chose not to walk up to the top due to my fear of heights. Not much else to do here.

Great view from top if you are able to do the steps. You can see for miles. 360 degree view, but be sure to heed signs and watch your head.

The climb up into the lighthouse might be a little challenging for some, especially if you are bothered by enclosed places or heights, however the view at the top was TOTALLY worth it!! Interesting to learn some of the history about the lighthouse and surrounding...More

Great place for kids to experience history. You are allowed to climb to the top where you can see all the way to the Gulf of Mexico.

Great place to visit and learn some history. Took some great pictures at the top. But it has about 100 steps and is very narrow so not good for the older population. great views
