We fished here just after the July 4th holiday and had some success but that's just what fishing is all about; sometimes you catch and sometimes not. But the pier is well maintained and is so big that you don't feel like you are elbow...More

We enjoyed our day fishing on the pier. It was clean and no alcohol is allowed on the pier. There is a restaurant and bar with a nice patio right there where you can enjoy a meal/drink after fishing or for a break. It was...More

Of course it all depends on you. When we were there in the Winter there was no charge to walk to pier. We walked through all the stores & saw a lot of neat stuff. Of course the food is going to quite a treat. Don't miss the stores -- I know they are free. Otherwise there are other shops in that area. Also a lighthouse museum & Port Isabel museum. Go there spend as much as you want or as little. Marcello's Italian restaurant is nearby & I swear it's the best food around--cloth napkins, etc.
