Buescher is smaller most Texas State Parks but has many opportunities for outdoor enjoyment. Great for biking with only slight elevation changes and is shady through most of the roads. For trail bikes, there are nice ones shared as hiking trails. Small lake has fishing...More

Beautiful park just wish they had more to do for kids. They have decent camping spaces, ground is very rocky so if you bring more than one tent be prepared. Restrooms are nice and well stocked. Only problem we had was roaches! Omg I have...More

Stayed at Bastrop SP cabin and traveled over to Beuscher for day trip. Great to see park in fine condition. No fire damage, lake in great shape, everything green and well maintained. GOOD stop. Will stay there next trip.

Even though they had fires at the park there are still places to go and enjoy. This park is what has me going back to Bastrop every year. They have cabins to stay in and a swimming pool for those hot summer days.

Great place to grt out of doors be in nature-it's coming back from the fire we had in our County but it didn't destroy the Park. Great to hike, enjoy nature

This "sister" park (12 miles apart) to Bastrop State Park fared much better in the 2011 wildfires, but suffered some damage in a 2015 fire. Please be mindful when camping. This park has a small fishing lake (Largemouth Bass are stocked) with canoes for rent...More

Both of those areas are available for use. We just left and camped in the oakhaven section of the park.

Sorry but they do not allow pets in any of the state park buildings, that includes shelters, restrooms, cabines, office, etc.

Possibly so, but it might be best to call the park directly and ask one of the staff.
