Very nice state park just of Hwy 71 between Bastrop and Smithville. Good number of campsites. We have a 30' Class B RV and had plenty of room. All camping areas also have adjacent restrooms and showers. TPWD does an excellent of keeping them well...More

This park survived the Bastrop fires and is growing back in the areas that did burn. It is lovely. There is something for everyone. Camping. Kayaking. Fishing. Hiking. Travel trailer hook ups. And lots of cooling, tall trees and a nice lake. Very peaceful and...More

Went here right before the 4th of July. We were surprised because they were not full. We camped in a small travel trailer and had an excellent concrete pad with water and electrical. The bathrooms had clean showers and commodes. The park rangers are also...More

We stayed here with a travel trailer. That limits your choices as only 14 sites, one of which is used for the host, have electric and are long enough for an RV. The section is called cozy circle and that is accurate. Another section, lake...More

Another of our spur of the moment trips. This is a beautiful park, the drive around the park is nice. Roads appear to be pretty new. Didn’t have a lot of time to explore, but is on our list to come back to.

There is plenty to do in this park. The hiking/ biking trails are a bit on the challenging side due to there being hills, roots, and stones in the way. It is quite a beauty though. There is a small lake which seems like a...More

Plenty good! TPWD does a great job of maintenance at all it's parks. There are plenty of miles of hiking/biking trails in both Buscher and Bastrop SP's and you can hike/bike the 10+ miles between the two! Just over a 20 mile... More
