Great climbing gym for anyone!
Dec. 2018 • Family
We had a group of 10 over Christmas including 6 teens. There was plenty of variety for the climbers and I was happy with the level of instruction given before we started. I was even more impressed that the staff interacted with the climbers after they started climbing, offering suggestions and new challenges to keep everyone engaged. The gourmet coffee bar kept the non-climbers happy too.

Because you you pay for an all-day pass, we came back again after dinner and stayed until closing.

The facility is new and very clean and well maintained. Some of the climbing walls were higher than other gyms in the area, which the kids loved.

This was a nice alternative to the trampoline parks and seemed safer too. We will definitely be back!

Their variety of routes are amazing. You can do top-rope,lead climb or just boulder they have great routed for each. You can also come alone. There are always friendly climbers around who would enjoy belaying you or staff can help. If its your first time to enjoy fullly, rent the shoes as well :)

Great exercise and lots of fun.

My son and my wife began to do rock climbing and it open up my curiosity when I heard them how much fun they had. Finally I decided to give it a try. I had no clue how to do it, I had never tried before. I'm approaching my 50's therefore I had some doubts in my mind.
What I first noticed was that all the employees will treat you very well, they were patient to explain me lots of things that you should know, and if I had questions they will answer them.
I do like the fact that up to some point you challenge yourself, and it is a great exercise. You get to use muscles that you don't normally use or exercise much, therefore take it easy, otherwise you will feel some pain the next day on your upper chest muscles, fingers and arms.
I learned that it was best to use your legs to push your body up, rather than using the strength of your arms alone. A good tip would be try to make your feet reach the highest possible rock, that way you will have an easier boost to reach the next rock. Use plenty of chalk on your hands, it will give you the grip you need. As far as safety, if you hook properly each time you climb it shall be no problem.
You can rent the equipment and pay per session if you are not sure if you will like it or not. Once you decide that you like it, then is best if you buy your own equipment.
When you buy your equipment, make sure you buy beginner shoes, there are several levels of shoes, the most advanced shoes are for advanced users, their feet are used to wearing those shoes, if you are a beginner, stay with the beginner shoes.
If you visit the climbing center more than twice a week, then it will be wise to become a member.
Start with the easier levels, then progress to the more difficult levels gradually. The best way to know when you should move up on level is when you feel that the level you are doing has became very easy.
The site has a pizza and american food restaurant and also has pretty good smoothies. Has Yoga classes and classes and activities for children. In a few words, there are activities for the entire family.

Fun and fitness

Inspire Rock provides a great way for active families to have fun together. The facility is maintained well and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable.

The cafe menu is appealing, but the timing has never been right for me to try it personally.

For some families, this might be an outing that's saved for special occasions. If you have to purchase multiple admissions, it might run the tab a little high for the budget conscious. The price does include harness fees, though.

I've done ropes courses twice before and I love the rush, so the ropes course is tempting, but it's not always available. It's booked by groups on a regular basis. If you keep track they do occassionally open it up for general admission. It's definitely on my to-do list.

Awesome way to pass some time!

Hey Houston - it's getting hot again. inSpire Rock is a great place to spend some active time in the cool a/c. My kids love this place. You can get a day pass that allows all day access to the walls - belay and self belayed. Day pass and harness rental is very reasonable.

Fun Exercise with Kids 6 and 9
Sep. 2016 • Family
This place was awesome and mu kids had a blast. Price is fair ~$16 per child with harness rental, which I thought was pretty fair. The instructions were a little "brief", bit the kids got the hang of it quickly and it was all downhill from there. Will definitely return more times. Also Check out Rudy's bbq next door to recharge the batteries with true texan bbq.

My kids love this place
Aug. 2015 • Family
Climbers of all ages can find a track that they can do. The little kids love the bridge and my older son loved getting to do some of the much higher climbs. Everyone has been so nice each time we went.

We stopped by at inspire rock in spring to have some fun top rope climbing and bouldering. Both was fun. There are several routes and difficulties to take. All staff and visitors have been friendly and helpful. If you are interested in climbing you should come here. One star less because the location is most likely to come by car.even bike is not practical.
