This is a rather small museum with some superb artifacts and exhibits. The dresses are particularly amazing. And lots of stuff from daily life in early 1900s. There is a 9 minute overview movie. Allow an hour or so. Highly recommended.

This is the greatest stop in Temple TX. I had learned so much about the Czech migration into the United States. Their contributions to the American culture has been outstanding.

The museum is interesting but the small cafe is wonderful. All home made items. This is authentic Czechs food! My family loves the sausage Kolaches and the cream cheese Kolaches. The area to dine in is very small and most always filled with people having...More

I confess, I have lived in Temple for years, and didn't go to the Czech Heritage Museum until June 2017! My familial Czech heritage came through Ellis Island then into Nebraska. It was fun to look at some traditional costumes, some household items, and other...More

There's a Czech restaurant next door to the museum, but you'll have to check with them regarding their hours; the restaurant was closed when we visited the museum.
