This is a beautiful facility with loads of charm. I love the older character blended with modern conveniences. It's used for banquets and weddings but also has a small museum. The railroad was the heart of Temple and this gives a good representation of the past life in Temple. Check it out if you're looking for an interesting and beautiful... More

Pretty nice little museum. Interesting history of Temple. Well kept and nicely presented. The building is beautiful. Sometimes there are discount coupons in the Dining and Shopping coupon book.

I went to the museum with my young granddaughters, 8 & 5. Though they were not as thrilled with the museum as the children's park next door they found the displays interesting. I as the old Pawpaw found it very interesting. It really revealed the importance of Temple as a railroad center and how everything evolved around railroads. This is... More

My uncle worked for Sante Fe RR for many years. I finally have a better idea of what his job entailed. Also seeing how the West became what we are today.

We were passing through Temple and I happened to see a Pullman Railroad car and I almost drove off the road! So we had to investigate further. This little gem is hidden in plain sight right in the center of Temple! The staff is so friendly that you'll wish they had chairs so you could sit and chat for awhile.... More

I liked visiting here. As a former BNSF engineer I enjoyed everything there was to see. They have a nice museum, gift shop, and rail cars to go through. This is an active Amtrak destination and is where I began my trip back to Nebraska last December.

Although is a very small museum it has very interesting pieces and very well kept. The entrance fee is a little pricey compared to other Museums around the country. It is located on a 2nd floor accessible to wheelchairs. The best part for kids are the locomotive outside, unfortunately the other two were closed and couldn't visit. I hope they... More

We got in free with our military ID. So that was a nice surprise! It's very informative and small. There is a model train room which my son adored. I'd like to go back sometime without my son so I can actually read everything. It's a nice display. Lots of interesting things to see.

Neat place! Circus exhibit was really good! And the railroad museum was full of Temple history and railroad history. caveate...Railroad cars were not unlocked. You might want to call and check on that. And the model railroad club and display is only open on some Saturdays. Great museum!

We took a nostalgic step back in time seeing some of the old railroad equipment, the staff were very helpful and friendly.
