The peet ahhh the peet. Scotish style golf course. Challenging yet generous. Read the hole signs for pot bunkers, water and other hazards.

This one of my favorite courses in all of DFW. It is a course that replicates various famous holes on the Open Championship rotation. It has the opening and closing holes at St. Andrews, as well as the Road Hole. You can play the Postage Stamp and other famous holes from Carnoustie, Royal Birkdale, etc. The course is located in the Colony on the shores of Lake Lewisville. This means that when it is windy, then you get the full Scottish golf experience. Even though it is at the end of a growing housing development, you will never feel suburbia, once you drive up to the clubhouse. The staff is courteous and efficient. The clubhouse is built like a Scottish manor. The only drawback is it can get crowded and slow after the early morning tee times. I love this course. One of the best that the average golfer can play in DFW.

Wonderful Mother’s Day buffet (and other special occasion dinners). Multiple offerings from omelette station, to fresh fruit, to lox and bagels, a carving station, and luscious desserts. Great and helpful staff. Not cheap, but worth the price.

Different type a golf than most courses. Many aspects of links golf have been captured (eg. large greens, wide fairways, lots of roll, pot bunkers, etc.). Staff was very friendly and very helpful.

Beautiful area geared toward 55+ community. Two golf courses and planned marina in the area. Definitely upscale living if in golf course or lake. Probably get more house and yard for your money somewhere else but this is a special community.
