This is my "Backyard Park"!
Aug. 2018 • Couples
This lakeside park is just a ten minute walk from my residence. I walk to the park and then walk several laps around the "Quad" that is the center of the park. Quite a few citizens of the city and others camp in the park on weekends. There is a great boat ramp to launch one's boat into Lake Lewisville.

The city keeps the park in great shape and there are resident park attendants (24/7) that protect the park from vandals. Kudos to my city for have such a great park system.

Great local city park!

I am a bit partial to this park as I live within a short walking distance. The city of The Colony really keeps this park in quality shape. There is a nice boat ramp and many daytime camping sites. There are also a few camper sites with connections.

I like the hiking trail as there is plenty of water fowl to view as the park is on Lake Lewisville. Not to mention the well need exercise.

Forth of July fireworks
Jul. 2017 • Family
We didn't attend any of the events on 4th of July at the park other than walking down to sit under the fireworks. As usual, the fireworks display was awesome.

FEE for Admission
Aug. 2017 • Family
This is a nice park that charges $7 or so for admission. There is a lake and we saw some people in paddle boats. A nice walking and running trail. It is dog friendlly located within a golf community.

Love this park
Apr. 2017 • Family
Easily gets busy on the weekend with campers and fisherman. Nice volleyball and basketball area as well as a huge playground for the little ones. We are yearly members. Definitely worth it. Also can put a boat in at this park.

Great place to hang out
Jun. 2016 • Couples
I always enjoy coming to this park. It is kept clean and neat, and there are nice covered picnic tables and fire pits for grilling and relaxing. The fishing is good in spring and we always enjoy seeing all the ducks. The bathrooms are better than could be expected at a park, and there is a nice play area for children. The city is working hard on making it a wonderful place to be with upgraded play equipment and adding RV hookups. There is a great field for soccer, baseball, football, etc. and a sand volleyball court.

The City of The Colony offers a great city park that offers walking, biking, camping, fishing or just hanging out at the beach. It is great to see the number of families that use the park on a regular basis.

Small park with all the amenities of larger parks
Jan. 2016 • Couples
Good for big campers and tent camping alike. Boat ramp, swimming and fishing spots and several covered grill areas for day trips with the family. Very nice hiking and biking trail along the lake. Several fun summertime events including a great 4th of July firework show. Note on 01/16: Because of the high lake level the boat ramp, hiking trail, swimming area and some of the grill area's are closed.
