Not sure why some are critical, SERIOUSLY people? It's Great!
Nov. 2019
OK, let's be clear - there currently (Nov 2019) aren't boats, just the trolley cars. This is a very enjoyable, short ride around the Woodlands, no charge, friendly drivers, no tipping, goes close along the waterway where you otherwise couldn't go unless you were on foot. It's a very pleasant ride and a very quaint Woodlands experience, all for free people. My family were visiting and really enjoyed it, we did it twice, just took our time, relaxed, wandering around the Woodlands. Loved it.

It’s a boat ... it goes on the water ...
Apr. 2019
The Woodlands Waterway Trolley might refer to the trolley - a bus that does a poor impersonation of a trolley, or it might refer to the boat that plies The Woodlands Waterway itself.

Neither of the trolley or the boat are going to make the list of top Texas tourist destinations.

Both the trolley and the boat are usually empty or nearly so. Unless you’re extraordinarily lucky, you will have to wait a considerable amount of time for the trolley or the boat to show up. Once aboard, you will be thrilled with views of mostly mid- and low-rise office buildings and plenty of parking lots.

The Woodlands Waterway itself is reasonably pleasant. You can see it just as well or better by strolling along the Waterway.

Great ride

Trolley is a wonderful way to see the Woodlands without driving. Not to mention it’s free, and they don’t allow tipping. It’s a great service. It picks up every 10-15 minutes. The trolley has air conditioning, which is great for these hot Texas days. Drivers are super nice. This is a great feature of the Woodlands.

Great service and conveniently located

We’ve stayed here several times when going to concerts as Cynthia Woods Pavilion and we love that they offer pizza for sale in the lobby afterwards. Great way to relax and make some new friends.
Service is also always great.

Pleasant way to see

With only the morning to get coffee and a scone at Blue Door Coffee Co., I took the free trolley around to get a quick and easy look at The Waterway area. The trolley operator was very pleasant. Then a short stroll along the water, fun seeing the swan paddle boats floating along and walked over to B&N to purchase a book for my flight back.
I hear The Waterway is spectacular at night and there are boat and kayaks options as well. Fun for singles, couples, families.

Enjoyable way to explore the area.

The trolleys are a lot of fun and the service is good and frequent, approximately every 10 minutes or so. The service is free and the hunter green trolley is both practical mode of locomotion and a tourist attraction in itself.

Woodlands Waterway and Waterway Square add a distinctive feature to the downtown area offering both functional and entertainment value to this bustling location.

The Waterway connects The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, The Woodlands Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, Waterway Square and The Woodlands Mall. The office buildings located at Waterway Square serve as the home for many of The Woodlands major employers, including Anadarko Petroleum, Woodforest National Bank, U.S. Oncology and American Financial and Automotive Services.

Nice Ride in The Woodlands. (When they are not out of service)

It is an enjoyable ride along side the Woodlands waterway. Family Friendly and just ok. Please be aware that sometimes the boats are not working, so make sure you check with the park ranger.

It has been quite some time since I enjoyed the trolley rides. I decided to enjoy another ride and see a new boat house parked trolley's that do not run. I wonder what happened
