Wonderful place to walk, play, shop, picnic, and watch people. Very well developed but not crowded. All kinds of events. And just very pleasant to look around.

Ideal location for a Business meeting
Apr. 2019 • Business
I have met clients, had many business meetings
(Small groups and large), and find it easy to complete
most of my errands and shopping in one beautiful
area.

The water, the restaurants, hotels, shops, grocery, and lovely array of meeting choices make Market Street a viable part of my week.

Well balanced urban planning.

This place has good vibes and seems “family friendly”, as the matter of fact: “everybody-friendly”. Shopping center, small lake and stream, green area, places to sit and rest. European cities have amazing historic centers but Woodlands has lovely modern unpretentious Town Center.

Idyllic green lung with lake and stream in the centre of The Woodlands

Enjoyed a stroll at this amazing park during a recent visit to The Woodlands in September 2018. The park stretches right in the centre of The Woodlands and has the waterway inside of it. There’s a free trolley service that runs through the park and lets one get off at all the main stops along Market Street, Cinemark 17, the public library, The Woodlands Mall and many other prominent stops along the scenic route. It’s a good and decent way to have a glimpse of the Woodlands on a sunny morning. For children, there’s a section with open storybook courtyards that tell tales of wisdom and for everyone, there’s also a small memorial erected in honor of the US army and servicemen who lost their lives serving the nation with a statue of George Mitchell who founded The Woodlands in 1974.

Quaint village feel

One of the best developed retail centers based on the concept of recreating an old city square. Good mix of tenants and ample parking for us. Our favorite jeweler is right at the core.

The green area has low key concerts although none were occurring during our visit. Very nicely done.

The Woodlands Mall is just one part of the Woodlands Town Center, but it isn’t the same as the Town Center. The Town Center is a large city district. It includes Market Street, Pinecroft, Research Forest, Woodlands Waterway, Woodlands Parkway, and more, as well as The Woodlands Mall. A 1.4-mile (2.25 km) water taxi route and a free 3.2-mile (5.15 km) trolley route connect them all. The district embraces 12 hotels, three parks, five parking garages, and about 900 businesses. Overall, the Town Center has a distinctively affluent, urban yet easygoing feel to it – without the mobs and traffic gridlock often found in the Galleria area.

The Market Street area itself is an outdoor mall within the Town Center. It alone has nearly 100 stores, boutiques, and restaurants. We went there mostly for the 1252 Tapas Bar, which did not disappoint us. While we were at Market Street, we also browsed at HEB, Sur la Table, and several other places. Sales persons at these places were just as pleasant as could be. We most liked the Town Center’s availability of easy alternatives to driving everywhere. We disliked only that the boat rides turned out to be closed for the season.

All the shops you would expect. Great place.

Not huge like Mall of America - but big enough with all the latest shops you need to buy anything you'd expect at the mall. Clean and a very large food court. Upscale by most suburban standards.

This is a great place for a relaxing day of shopping or just browsing around. There's so many interesting things to look at, not just in the shops but also in the architecture and landscaping. This would definitely be a good weather day activity.

Beautiful area to shop and enjoy the experience!

Market Street was a wonderful shopping experience. Very upscale and high end stores. Since the area is so wooded (hence the name Woodlands) don't be fooled by heading to the indoor mall. Our navigator took us to the mall the first day of shopping and I was totally disappointed, very ordinary. I ventured out again later in the week (we were staying near Bush Intercontinental Airport) and found the beautiful shopping area on Market Street right beside the mall. If we had only driven a little further the first day, hours of shopping time would not have been wasted. :)
